Do I want an all-in-one package or do I want to engage different vendors for different aspects of the wedding?
The difference between these two options are quite ketara actually – with an all-in-one package, your hidup will be sooo much more senang! Your catering, your decor, your andaman, your photographer, your berkat, your sirih dara, your bunga pahar, your gubahan trays, your kad jemputan dan yang sekaum puak dengannya semua under one company aje!
(Disclaimer: Not all packages are as such, of course, you still need to ask vendors that you’re interested in on the nitty gritty details ok! Some packages have Item A and Item B tapi takde Item C and Item D, whereas other packages have Item A and Item C tapi takde Item B and Item D, that sort of thing)
With all-in-one package, you cut down on the need to liaise with sooo many vendors thus reducing confusion and effort on your part to make them work together. Plus some all-in-one packages (note: some) can be quite value-for-money because if you book the items separately from other vendors it might amount to much higher costs.
At first it was quite tempting to simply choose a vendor who has all-in-one packages and settle all the major wedding items (and some minor ones too) in one single swoop. But the problem with all-in-one packages is that there are bound to be some items in the package that you do not like or at most, will be 50/50 about. E.g, maybe the andaman lawa, catering sedap tapi decor macam nenek 70 tahun yang pasang or maybe the catering sedap but presentation hancur berkecai, decor boleh tahan tapi andaman macam wayang pekji.
Some vendors are baik and flexible and will allow you to take out items from the package and replace with something else that you want or prefer (macam Saiful Imran Events!), whereas some vendors
are evil and
tak flexible sangat so you might have to settle for something that you might not want or like so much.
With that in mind, I decided that there is no way a “all-in-one package” approach can do well for me – I have specific preferences, I’m fussy about details and I have a raging control freak in me. The decision was very clear – I had to go the other way.
The first “bad” thing that you’ll think about sourcing out and engaging different vendors is the laborious process of researching, shortlisting, comparing, meeting, liasing and deciding on different vendors in the market. And there’s so many aspects in a wedding – there’s catering, andaman, decor, photography, videography, etc etc etc yada yada yada bla bla bla. It can get very confusing, frustrating and exhausting.
But the thing is, if you already know what you need and/or want, it’s not really such a bad thing! I personally found the process quite enjoyable :-D
I did come across vendors with all-in-one packages during my research though and if, for some reason or another, we had opted for an all-in-one package, I know which vendor would’ve made it to my top three choices: Anggun Wedding Services.
I’ve browsed through some of their albums yang ada their bridal outfits and andaman works and I found some of them cantik! And their make-up very simple! (Which I like and want for my wedding lah. Kalau you prefer make-up wayang pekji, your pasal lah.)

Their dais and decor pun not bad, I think.
Ada design quite ‘template’, but most of them nampak sempurna, and if
you’re especially a firm believer of “asalkan pengantin boleh duduk
dengan selesa, pelamin tak roboh” then ok lah ni kan? At least tak
nampak berselerak and merimaskan like decor by some other vendors.

Unfortunately, bila part catering pulak I’ve
never tasted their food before so no comments on that. I’ve heard their
food is good, though! Tak tau how true. I was curious enough to email
Anggun for a food tasting session but customer service ada sikit fail
sebab until today belum dapat any reply from them.
Takpe lah. Curious se-curiousnya pun tak securious sampai nak chase them for a reply seh.
