One more wedding showcase coming up this weekend!

It’ll be on the last weekend before Ramadhan so whoever yang nak settle wedding stuff before Ramadhan starts proper boleh go down to the 2nd Showcase organized by Daun Dco to check out their packages and promos!

Date/Day: 15 July 2012, Sunday

Ok, because I’m very sebok – just a quick note on some of the participating vendors below!

Ok lah, dorang ada buat colourful/themed decor as well lah but I happen to only like their white/neutral decor works.

[Side note: Ooh I quite like that bulat pokok thing in the last picture! I'm not a fan of trees, yes, but if for some godforsaken reason die die must have some kind of pokok or greenery at my dais, I think I'll request for these bulat pokok things *makes mental note*]

You know, if our parents had insisted on separate receptions kan kita kena engage a 2nd decor company for the second reception? We actually listed Daud Dco as one of the possible decor companies!

One of the criteria we wanted for our 2nd decor company was that their decor works must look good and presentable and their quote must be cheap – we were willing to splurge on my mat’s decor (where the dinner is to be held if we have separate receptions) whereas my decor just has to be cheap cheap good good.

In case you’re interested to know what our 2nd decor company would have been kalau our parents had wanted separate receptions, here’s a list of our top three choices, in order of preference:

(1) JSS Deco (Their quote to me was less than $2000!!! And their decor and dais quite nice for that kind of price lah ok. More about them another day. Jangan nak steal thunder pulak kat sini. Heh.)

(2) ISS Weddings

(3) Daud Dco

Semua cheap cheap good good! So if you’re a bride-to-be who’s planning a budget wedding, and the above three companies are not in your list… you’re doing it wrong, honey ]

(And if you’re a 2013 pengantin-to-be who’s interested in Daud Dco, better book them soon!)

 

Pesona Belle

I think most, if not all, bakal pengantin Melayu kat dalam Singapore ni dah kenal sangat dengan Pesona Belle! Like I’ve mentioned before, as far as I know ada three well-known service providers for henna services within the Malay wedding community – Syraskins, Saheli Henna and Pesona Belle Henna – because these three are the only ones that I keep hearing whenever I talk to other pengantins-to-be.

Tapi the kelainan about Pesona Belle - besides henna services, dorang pun provide gubahan services and sirih dara jugak! So kalau nak settle minor wedding-related items like henna, gubahan and sirih dara all at one shot, boleh lah consider settling all of them dengan Pesona Belle yer. Some of their sirih dara:

Card Maison

Hai, this makes me very tak sabar to start cracking for invitation card design ideas! But bu yao ji man man lai, next year then can start fussing over this ok.

Cakap pasal nak dekat Ramadhan ni… macam cepat eh time pass by. Next week dah start puasa! Before you know it, it’ll be Hari Raya, then three of my and my mat’s closest friends punya weddings (and Big Bang concert in between!!! – birthday present for my mat lah ok, kan aku dah cakap dah ini mamat kemaruk K-pop) … and then comes our engagement :-O

Lepas tu dah one more year to the wedding! My fellow kakak kakak kahwing friends have warned me that things will move very fast once we hit the one-year mark – I’m not sure whether that’ll happen to us since we’ve settled most of the items off our list earlier this year… but I can’t wait to see what next year brings.
