lelong lelong! promo promo!

Having a no frills solemnization and wedding reception in 1 day for only 10 hours and only want to spend $1000 for good quality videography?

No problemo! Ada Rolling Frames promo!

 (Source: Rolling Frames)

Meh I share satu sample of their videography for a recent wedding event eh:

Quite good right the quality?!?!?! Akak approve okay!

Cuma I don't really like the music from the first portion but well, that's just a personal preference lah kan. And eh I super love the gorgeous wedding that's inside the video above lor!!!

I first mentioned it here and to see the whole lawa setup in video is lagi best lah seh. From the decor to the outfits to the food (this one I'm just being biased lah, because food is from my own caterer hahahahaha), everything is mad love. MAD LOVE, I TELL YA.

Even the couple are good lookers and look so lovely with each other!!! I usually don't fancy pengantins wearing cermin mata on their wedding day but this pengantin lelaki made it work so well, man. Maybe because cermin mata dia memang cool in the first place ah haha.

(Check out aspiring aunty and uncle bob at 4:27 and 7:51!!! Come I clap for you all nak tak? Haha. In case you're not sure siapa ni uncle bob that I'm talking about, I pernah ceritakan here.)

To watch more of the awesome work from Rolling Frames, you can click here to go to their Vimeo page, read up more about them on their website here or check out their Facebook here. $1000 is cheap cheap good good hor!

Tetapi kan, kalau even that is not cheap cheap good good enough for you and you want yang lagi value for money... how does $1188 for both photography and videography sounds???

Sounds like your kocek is not going to koyak besar after all, right????? Hahahahaha.

Sample video!!!

More of their videos here and Diziq Vidz Motion Pictures are stalkable and contactable here.

Tapi this one you must move sepantas kilat, petir bercampur taufan because their promo sekejap, from 3rd to 6th October aje!!! Ni kirakan macam flash sale lah gitu.

Okay, going to start finishing up and pushing out all my entries now, aku asyik tunda tunda sampai ada draft entries and emails backlog. Sorry lah geng, tengah busy period kan ni, what with this month being the last month before our wedding month hits (!!!!!) and lagi lagi the year-end madness in office dah start its full force. Akak pun got a full-time office job to do okay, must earn money to fund the wedding and life thereafter ma. Takkan nak bayar wedding vendors, bayar HDB and bayar renovation contractors dengan kertas and rumput kan.

jom kita innovate!

New promo from Innovazione Gubahans for this lovely month of May!

If y'all nak tau, Innovazione Gubahans was actually one of our top choices for gubahan when we first set out on this wedding preparation journey! Seriously think their gubahan work became prettier and more up to date since we last considered their gubahan services. Dari dulu memang dah pretty lah - if not why would we even consider them in the first place kan hur hur - tapi sekarang makin better and prettier and I, for one, am always fond of vendors yang ikut peredaran zaman, y'know! Come you tengok sendiri:

Very cantik! I've always preferred gubahans that are simple and "clean" and I think Innovazione Gubahans fits that bill swee swee, so if you share the same sentiments as me then Innovazione Gubahan are the ones you need to seriously consider ok. Super reasonable price + Complementary gubahan colours = Akak give two thumbs up! If akak ada tiga thumbs macam Hrithik Roshan, akak dah kasi tiga thumbs up dah.

(My mat and I are still trying to figure out what to do for the uniformity of our barang dulangs, by the way. We agreed that all our items must be in black - with the exception of our rings, my duit hantaran and one gadget that we reaaally wanted but only comes in silver (the packaging's black, though) - the problem now is two or three of our items comes in red and blue packaging so tak kena dengan our colour scheme!!! Must remember to ask Ola Lola (our dulang gubahan people) for their expert advice.)

Ok patah balek to the main story - as you can see from their May promotion, they also do photography for wedding events and outdoor photoshoots. Sample works lai la lai la~

Kalau you're the kind yang suka kill two birds with one stone then this May promotion package from Innovazione Gubahans might just be the one for you hor!

Anyway, just thought I'd mention this sementara tengah ada mood nak berblogging - remember I previously mentioned about lack of local vendors who provide DIY photobooth props punya service? Right after I published that entry, tiba tiba macam one after another lah seh that kind of vendor keluar at my Facebook newsfeed. Haha!

So now to add to Nina from Tweexis Little Booth, there's also Fabuloustix Moments, Whimsi Whisk (only pre-orders + not customized), Pretty White Veil (only pre-orders + not customized) and of course the faaabulous Le Papier Project launched by one of our darling bride-to-be, Chase The Bride! So bagus right bride-to-be sekarang, so many choices for so many categories of wedding-related items to choose from! Cuma kalau you're the kind yang fickle-minded then maybe not so good lah kan nanti berbuih mulut sebab tak tau mana satu nak choose hahaha

Oh oh oh! Can I also mention how happy I am that Zudyra Creation has started providing backdrops for their print-and-snap photo services??? Again, super love vendors who do not practise perangai katak bawah tempurung and are always improving or adding value to their services from time to time. Just last two months I mentioned choosing a snap-and-print service because they offered a backdrop (I know there are photobooths who offer backdrops but this is different from snap-and-print services) and now Zudrya Creation pun dah ada! Yay to more options for fellow bakal pengantins! Hehe.

You know, I think there is a high possibility I won't delete several wedding vendors off my Facebook list for this exact reason - it's always lovely and heartening to see our local Malay wedding vendors increase their standards, offer better services and prettier styles of work. I've to admit I can't run away from starting to prep up for the next stage of lives now though, so I have started deleting so-so wedding-related vendors off my Facebook the past few months to make space for interior decor and design-related ones.

It's about time, really - my mat and I met Ashik and Fisz when we went out with our primary school friends for dinner and karaoke last Friday and we started talking about our upcoming BTO flats. FYI, we've scored flats within the same development and will be staying a few blocks away from each other! Ashik and I currently live sebelah block so when we found we'll be block neighbours again at our new houses, I mockingly accused Ashik of stalking me into my new life hahahahaha.

Anyway, conversation steered towards the possibility of getting our flats earlier than the projected Q3 of 2014 because of super cepat nak mampos construction (sampai you'd think HDB dah employ The Flash to build our flats instead of bangla construction workers sia) so if God be willing, we might just get our flat before Ramadhan next year. Which means... time to start working on our #konstructionkhronicles, y'all!

Apek kontractor, LU TUNGGU. This time next year gua datang cari lu ok.

tak lekang dek panas, takkan usang dek zaman

I've always preferred modernity when it comes wedding photoshoots but there is no way I can deny how freaking gorgeous and timeless photoshoots that take on the classic theme are!!! Especially those done by the awesome 3.tiga Studios!!! Tengok ni below:

(Source: 3.tiga Studios)

Definitely the people to look for if you're hoping for a classic old school feel to your make-up and/or photography! Oh, and videography too! Samples here: Teaser - Nadia and Fauzie /// Tanda Qaseh - Muharram and Norseha - Solemnization /// Tanda Kaseh - Muharram and Norseha - Music Video Clip (don't forget to click on HD bottom right, fellas)

FAB OR WHAT, KAN?! I love love love it to the core of my bride-to-be being! Still not something I'd do for myself because I prefer modernity but it's always great to watch or see stuff that are as awesome and interesting macam gini therefore akak suka, akak cinta, akak approve! I know there will be some wet blankets yang tak dapat semalam out there who will cakap ape ni semua, tak penting ah ni semua, waste time and waste duit buat buat ni semua (omg I actually typed that out with my dad's disapproving voice booming in my head hahaha) but that, my friend, is your suar lalam basah ok. Your suar lalam basah which you can go and keringkan dulu ok? And while you're at it, pergi check whether you ada a dusty old stick up your ass ok??? Tak bagus you know ada dusty old stick up your ass, nanti sembelit.

Anyway. It seems like the fab people behind Tiga.3 Studios are the photographer from Aeqmal Huat Photography and the husband and wife team whose wedding pictures I blogged about here (and whose video links are included in the previous two paragraphs.) Always lovely and always refreshing to see pengantins who opt for the timeless classic look and feel for their photoshoots and even receptions, and to quote kata kata pujangga by Dato Siti Nurhaliza and Puan Noraniza Idris in Dondang Dendang, awesome classic stuff macam gini adalah stuff yang tak lekang dek panas dan takkan usang dek zaman!

it's a party! it's a carnival! it's... a wedding!

I don’t even want to say anything much anymore before introducing a Malaysian wedding here. (You’ll know my feelings towards Malaysian weddings from my entries here and here.)

And yes, my friends, this is another one of those awesome Malaysian weddings that made me squeal like a child. Fantastic photography shots, impressive decor setup, gorgeous outfits and andaman, beautiful couple with lovely friends and family, fun vibes… I really can’t get enough.

I took a short break to regain my composure after drooling and squealing over their nikah and sanding pictures… only to lose it again when I saw pictures of their wedding dinner:

As usual, pictures best viewed from the original source itself.

Even their freaking engagement looks ridiculously awesome ok. (Please catch your breath first before taking a look here and here)

One of the few themes that I thought would be nice to consider for our wedding during the initial brainstorming stages was a carnival theme ok!!! (Especially since candy floss, popcorn and ice cream machines rental are so readily available for local Malay weddings nowadays – some caterers offer such additional services, or you can always rent the machines from a separate vendor. Check out Petitfour Express or The Party People if you’re interested)

But I’ve already struck out the carnival theme idea earlier on because I know it’ll be too outrageous by local Malay wedding standards and it’ll be too over the top for our parents to stomach (I try to push my luck most of the time but there are certain times where I’ll keep our parents' feelings and interests in mind, certain boundaries that I try not to push or cross.)

Seeing such a theme incorporated into a Malay wedding makes me so happy and gay and thrilled! Not thrilled enough to force a carnival-themed wedding on our parents, of course, but hey – I can still tumpang gembira dalam hati kan! Hehe.
