Heck, let's have a bouncy castle during our wedding event, PLEASE!!!

I wonder if there's space outside the venue to accommodate a bouncy castle...

(I am, of course, only joking and this will most probably not materialize just like my hopes and dreams for a wedding food truck ha ha ha ha ha but HEY, a girl can dream and my dreams usually involve happy stuff like glitter, rainbows, ribbons, bubbles, sparkles, sunshine AND A GODDAMN BOUNCY CASTLE SO BUZZ OFF.)

OH OH OH, OR!!! A BALL PIT???!!!!!!!

Okay, this one maybe not lah. This ball pit one I want to save for our future anak punya first photoshoot HAHAHAHAHA photoshoot kahwing belum lepas, dah pikir pasal anak punya first photoshoot eh. Podah!

tersexy dan terseksa

When we first started on this journey, I was still trying to decide whether I should customize and tailor my wedding dinner dress or just select one off Versari Ade's rack.

Now that we're 7 months and 21 days away from the wedding (wedding countdown app yang tolong calculatekan yo hahaha), I've pretty much decided to throw in the towel and just choose something off Versari Ade's rack. Truth be told, I haven't really seen any wedding dress from Versari Ade that I really like - their songket pieces are all so ~ gorgeous ~ tapi wedding dresses macam takde yang catch my eye. But my smart mamat suggested a pretty fab idea (parents-approved too!) to get around this if I end up not liking any piece off their rack so now I just tak sabar waiting for the time for us to go for our first fitting so we can finalize on this!

Since I have some time on my hands, I thought I'd share some wedding dresses that I kapok-ed off Pinterest because I love them sampai boleh gila!!! I can wear none of them for my wedding, of course, jangan nak mabok and jangan nak mimpi please (I've mentioned why here before and an entry on some of my other hanya-tinggal-mimpi wedding dresses here) - but they're too pretty not to share lahhhhhhhhhh.

I very like lacey lacey shoulders and lacey lacey bareback and big bows on dresses, you know!

But I will kena tempeleng or syarahan or most likely both if I wear these kind of sexy seksa baju for my wedding, you know? I will also make our makciks pakciks tanggung dosa when they see me in these kind of sexy seksa baju and mengata me and our families, you know? Lulz. And what makes me think I pakai like that will nampak cantik ni?!?! Babat sekeping dah 10 kilo, ada hati nak pakai sexy seksa. Hur hur.

Oh well, not like baju omputeh je yang lawa lawa belaka anyway kan? Have you seen what Malaysian brides wear for their weddings?!?!?! Some so anggun, so ayu, so manis and still so tertib! Must really set aside time to blog about them gorgeous things soon.

And oh, this was what my mat said, after I jokingly asked whether I can wear one of the dresses above for our wedding - "Boleh lah kalau you betul nak pakai, tapi lepas majlis habis je confirm my mum tarik I tepi suruh I kahwin lagi satu." Mak ai, melampau lah weh.

we cordially invite you (part ll)

More card ideas that I like!!!!!

But will never execute because the costs will be too ridiculous to even consider :-(

(Eh this idea boleh kena kan with the Super Mario proposal! Heh.)

This is quite a silly thing to be happy about but I’m actually happy to report that I’m starting to receive very nice and trendy wedding invitation cards from young Malay couples! Last time bila dapat wedding invitation card, I will tengok date, time and address pastu chuck ke tepi je. But now I get to tumpang gembira because of the bright colours used or squeal “Eh cute nya!” before fully reading the details inside. Kalau ada space to frame and gantung, aku dah buat dah.

Hehehe bagus eh korang, mak kasi 10 bunga rampai out of 10 for creativity and effort!

Tapi part paling best is: the cards didn’t even cost the couples an arm and a leg – they usually come up with the design themselves and then send it for printing at very low cost. Roughly $0.20 per card considered ok ape, kali 1000 pax baru $200. In the grand scheme of things (involving thousands and thousands of dollars) what is $200 kan?! Macam taik lalat je.

Looks like this will be the route we’ll take when it comes to wedding invitation cards!

Ah well… time to look for inspiration which is more realistic lah gini. (Like those listed in an earlier entry, maybe?) No more sitting in the awan awan fawning over ideas that are not feasible and cannot materialize! Macam laser cut acrylic invitations yang kat atas tu. Boo.

(Actually still boleh tengok tengok lah - after all inspiration can come from anywhere - cuma kena gigit jari tahan geram je lah eh.)

bunga bunga cinta

And since I left off on the topic of our engagement the last entry…

A week or two back after our Zumba session, Nani asked me whether I’ll be holding a bouquet for my engagement day. It didn’t occur to me that I’d need a bouquet for an engagement and even though I don’t think there is any real need, it might be fun (and good practice!) if I just try and DIY one if I have the time.

I shall repeat the magic words: “if I just TRY and DIY one IF I have the time.”

Maybe I can attempt this lovely piece:

(DIY white lilies bouquet tutorial here.)

A fellow bride-to-be blogger Minute Blogette blogged about DIY-ing a tulip bouquet for her friend’s engagement before and I thought that was so cantik as well! Yang lilies cantik, yang tulips cantik! Can’t decide! As it is I don’t even have a favourite flower.

(To be honest, I’m not really a fan of receiving flower bouquets as gifts because I think it’s a waste of money. FLOWERS DIE. Why are you giving me something that lasts well and good for only one freaking day??? My mat has only given me a bouquet once when we were still dating back in 2008 and while I thought the gesture was really sweet, I am not going to accept anything that dies after a day from him anymore, thank you very nice.)

Oh! I actually found a tutorial for fabric flower bouquet before Nani mentioned having a bouquet for my engagement and I wanted to try doing that just for fun when I have the time. But now it seems easier to start off with fresh flowers so maybe I should start off with the DIY white lilies or tulips bouquet instead of a fabric flower bouquet?

Although the good thing about fabric bouquets is that they don’t die within a day lah.

Innovative pe pakai egg beater untuk buat bouquet??? Tahun ni lepas habis buat kuih raya can pakai your egg beater to buat DIY bouquet. Senang dan ringkas! Hahaha

Another type of bouquet that I also think is nice is the brooch bouquet (and boleh tahan lama!) but the tutorial looks too difficult so tunggu jelah for buah tak jatuh eh my friends.

Of course if DIY is not really your thing, there’s always Blushing Bouquet! Tinggal submit order je and the kakak can do for you.

Ea$y pea$y lemon $queezy!
